33 people have been injured in a bus accident in Chitwan on Friday morning. A Dolphin passenger bus (Ba. Pr. 0300 Kha 0123) coming from Gaur towards Kathmandu collided with a truck (Na 6 Kha 813) parked in Tikauli forest of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9, loaded with bricks.
Then, the same bus, which was coming from Janakpur to Kathmandu, collided with a Rudraksha passenger bus with the registration number Ba.Pr.0300 Kha 3902, said DSP Shailendra Thapa, Joint Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force Nepal.
Immediately after the bus overturned on the road after the accident, the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 17 Battalion, Aantari, which went from Chitwan, rescued the injured and took them to various hospitals in Chitwan. Of the injured, 15 are being treated at Chitwan Medical College, 13 at National City Hospital, and 5 at Bharatpur Hospital.
The accident vehicle was removed with the help of a crane and the road was reopened to one-way traffic from 2:55 this morning.
