The Armed Police Force has been mobilized to rescue tourists stranded at Tilicho Base Camp in Manang.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Thapa informed that an Armed Police Force rescue team has gone to rescue 15 tourists stranded at the base camp of Tilicho Lake in Ngisyang Rural Municipality-9 of Manang. 15 tourists, including two Chinese and 13 Nepalis, are stranded at the base camp of Tilicho Lake due to snowfall.
As soon as information was received that the tourists were stranded, a team including security forces trained in disaster management and medical personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, led by Armed Police Superintendent Top Bahadur Dangi, has been deployed for the rescue. Since the lake has to be reached on foot from the Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, the rescue will take some time.
