The association had made public the protest program to stop all services except essential services from 10 am to 12 pm every day from Wednesday to Kartik 18. Accordingly, nurses at various hospitals across the country have stopped work for two hours today.
Nurses working in private health institutions have been protesting demanding government-level services. While the nurses have said that they will continue the protest until their demands are met, the hospital operators are not ready to pay government-level salaries.
The government has formed a high-level committee to study the demands of nurses.
The committee has formed separate task forces in all seven provinces. The task forces have been asked to understand the situation in the respective places, facilitate them and submit a report with long-term solutions. The nurses have warned that they will leave the service if their demands are not met by Kartik 18.
