Finance Minister Khanal has reached the Supreme Court along with the Chief Justice to discuss the damage caused to courts and court-related structures across the country, including the Supreme Court.
Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has reached the Supreme Court to discuss the damage to physical infrastructure related to the judiciary, including the Supreme Court, which was set on fire amid the situation arising out of the Gen-G movement.
Finance Minister Khanal reached the Supreme Court on Sunday afternoon to discuss the damage caused to the Supreme Court and related structures across the country. According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala, Finance Minister Khanal held discussions with Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, judges and high-ranking officials. Chief Justice Raut, who arrived at the President's Office Sheetal Niwas for the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed ministers on Sunday, also reached the Supreme Court along with the Finance Minister. 23 courts across the country have been damaged. Of these, the Supreme Court and Kathmandu District Court buildings have been damaged beyond use. 933,000 case files burned in the courts.
