Three people have died in a jeep accident in Solukhumbu. The Bolero vehicle heading from Ramapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality to Mahakulung Rural Municipality met with the accident at 7:30 pm on Thursday.
The vehicle that met with the accident in Bhirkuna, on the border of Wards 6 and 7 of Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality, fell about 400 meters off the road, said Sagujit Rai, Chairman of Ward 7 of Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality.
Six people were injured in the accident, said Ward Chairman Rai. He informed that the vehicle that had gone to Mapya to pick up passengers from Khumbu to Mahakulung met with the accident while returning. The deceased have not been identified. Chairman Rai said that six people, including the driver, were injured.
The District Police Office, Solukhumbu, has stated that there is a problem in identification as the incident took place at night. The police have stated that the injured have been sent to Waku Hospital for treatment.
