A Chinese youth and a Nepali girl have been arrested with illegal cash and gold from Sano Bharyang, Nagarjuna Municipality-2, Kathmandu.

On Tuesday night, around 11:30 pm, Chinese nationals Jiao Gang, 38, and Rojina Sunar, 22, of Nilakantha Municipality-2, Dhading, who were renting a house belonging to Sarita Maharjan, located in Sano Bharyang, Nagarjuna Municipality-2, were arrested.

During a search of their room on the second floor of Maharjan's house, 6.985 million Nepali rupees and various gold-like metal jewelry were found hidden under a suitcase and a sofa. Both of them have been taken into police custody and investigation is underway.

From their room, 6.985 million rupees, 2 necklaces made of yellow metal that look like gold, 2 earrings, 4 bangles of different sizes, 3 rings of different sizes, 1 necklace, 1 headscarf, 4 iPhones, 1 MacBook, 1 mobile phone, 1 The police have recovered a BYD vehicle bearing registration number 01 -031 Pa 5262. The police have also seized four other women living in the same house. The police circle in Swayambhu has also taken them into custody for questioning.
