Rakesh Sah Kanu, Chairman of the Chhath Puja Management Committee, Ghadi Arwa Pokhari, informed that preparations for Chhath Puja have begun this year at Ghadi Arwa Pokhari like last year. 'We have already started work to attract more devotees with Chhath pandals and glittering and dazzling decorations at Ghadi Arwa Pokhari this year than last year,' he said, 'This year too, Chhath Puja will be celebrated in a grand and civilized manner like last year.' Chairman Kanu said that the final work of decorating and decorating Chhath Puja will be done rapidly after Tihar.

People from various districts of neighboring Bihar state and various cities of Nepal come to watch Chhath Puja at Ghadi Arwa in Birgunj. Organizers claim that more than one lakh devotees will watch Chhath Puja at Ghadi Arwa alone. Women of Tarai-Madhes celebrate Chhath Puja by praying for the happiness and prosperity of their families and relatives.

This year, the main day of Chhath Parva is on Kartik 10, the day of Katik Shukla Shashti. Chhath Parva is celebrated especially from the day of Kartik Shukla Chaturthi and till the day of Shashti.

Chhath Parva has been celebrated in Ghadi Arwa Pokhari in Birgunj for more than two decades. 'Management is being made so that the devotees who perform Chhath Puja can worship in a comfortable and accessible manner,' said Chairman Kanu, 'The main attraction of Chhath Puja in Ghadi Arwa Pokhari in Birgunj is the pandal. The more attraction can be brought to the pandal, the more beautiful and grand it will look.'

About 2.2 million rupees will be spent on Chhath management in Ghadi Arwa. Chairman Kanu said.
