Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) tells Prime Minister Karki: 'The government will not have unconditional and eternal support'

What you should know

The National Independent Party (NISP) has said that the government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki should complete the mandate it received within the time limit. The party has expressed its goodwill and support for the Karki-led government, but it cannot be unconditional and eternal.

Stating that the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21 should be successfully held to take the country on the path of the constitution, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has said that the government should work to create an environment for that.

In a discussion called by Prime Minister Karki in Baluwatar on Tuesday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) made it clear that the government should work to hold the elections on time along with the good governance and corruption control raised by Gen-G.

The meeting called by Prime Minister Karki was attended by RSS Vice-Chairman Swarnim Wagle and Secretariat member Sobita Gautam. Regarding the issues raised by the party in the meeting, Wagle said, 'Since the issues focused on good governance of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the demands of Gen-G are the same, the party has goodwill and good wishes towards Sushila Karki's government. But our support cannot be unconditional and eternal, and the government should be seen to stand against the politics of revenge.'

Gautam said that the current government should hold elections on the scheduled date and engage in a peaceful transfer of power. 'We have said that this government should hand over power peacefully after the elections on Falgun 21. We have said that if the government tries to go on indefinitely, we will protest,' Gautam said.

After the protests and violence on Bhadra 23 and 24, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had put forward in the meeting that the Aafro Party itself had demanded elections. The RSS has also demanded an investigation into the Bhadra 23 massacre and the violence and arson on Bhadra 24 and to keep the morale of the police high.
