Chairman Oli said that during the protest, industrial and business establishments, cable cars, schools and colleges were burned and students were incited to protest in their clothes. Chairman Oli alleged that the students had come to the streets with general demands to control corruption and establish good governance and to operate the blocked social media, but incidents of arson, vandalism and looting were planned in the name of Gen-G.
Stating that the perpetrators of arson and looting were arrested on the spot, the Home Minister ordered their release without taking legal action, he said that the Home Minister's statement also showed the spirit of arson, looting and vandalism. Chairman Oli said that he had already passed the house deed in the name of the government and said that he was allowed to live in this house only as long as he was alive. He said that the government has the power to restore the said house or not. He said that the government should take action against those who set fire to and vandalized the house.
