The Pal Nursing Association has demanded that the government implement the minimum wage. The association issued a statement today, saying that hospitals have ignored the current interim government's directive to implement the minimum wage facility on September 24.

According to the association, most health institutions have not yet implemented the minimum salary and benefits set by the Nepal government on Mangsir 27, 2081 BS.

They have been complaining that they have to work for a salary of 15,000 even though the salary scale for the fifth level in the health sector is up to 34,000 rupees.

The association also stated that nurses and other health workers working in teaching, government, private and community hospitals across the country are protesting, demanding the implementation of minimum salary facilities.
