No one disagrees with the need for elections: Prime Minister Karki

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that no one disagrees with the need for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

Karki gave this information through social media 'X' after discussions with political party representatives in Baluwatar on Tuesday.

This is the first time since the formation of the government that Prime Minister Karki has discussed the election on his own initiative. Earlier, President Ram Chandra Poudel had discussed the election with the government and the parties.

Prime Minister Karki also wrote that the dialogue with the political parties was cordial. 'A cordial dialogue has been held with the parties in an effort to create an environment for the upcoming election. No one disagrees with the need for the election,' the Prime Minister said, 'The government is determined to hold the election on time by addressing the concerns and concerns of all parties. Let us join the election from our respective places.'

Party leaders participating in the discussion said that the government should create an environment for the election. The parties had raised concerns including security. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the UML has not opposed the elections, even though it has expressed doubts that the government will be able to hold them.
