Bipin's funeral with national honors

Bipin Joshi, a young man from Kanchanpur who died while being held hostage by the Hamas group, was laid to rest with national honors on Tuesday.

The funeral was conducted with national honors by Chief District Officer Laxman Dhaka at the Mahakali River at Bhujela Ghat, while the Armed Police Force saluted. The Israeli Embassy staff who participated in the funeral procession paid tribute by waving the Israeli national flag.

Bipin's body, which was brought to Kathmandu from Israel on Monday, was brought to Dhangadhi Airport by an army plane in the evening. From there, it was brought to his house in Bhimdatta Municipality-3 by a hearse of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City. On Tuesday morning, the funeral procession was taken from his house to Bhujela Ghat with the participation of thousands. 

The funeral procession was attended by thousands of participants, including the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, former Foreign Minister NP Savad, and Tara Lama Tamang, a member of the dissolved House of Representatives.
