According to Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, the provincial government has already provided Rs 2 lakh relief to the families of seven people from Sudurpaschim who lost their lives in the Hamas attack.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas took Bipin hostage from the southern Israeli town of Alumim Kivuz, which borders the Gaza Strip. A month later, the Israeli army found a video of Bipin alive.
Hamas handed over Bipin's body last Monday after an agreement was reached to release hostages and Palestinian prisoners as part of the first phase of the US-proposed Middle East peace plan to end the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The National Center of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv confirmed that the body was Vipin's after conducting a DNA test.
According to a letter received by the family, it is claimed that Bipin died of a gunshot wound to the head. However, there has not yet been independent confirmation of when, where and under what circumstances he died.
