The Ministry of Home Affairs is to conduct a special operation to recover weapons looted during the Gen-G movement and subsequent protests.

Home Minister Aryal gave this information while talking to media persons after the Central Security Committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday. According to him, the meeting also reviewed the work of the task force formed to present strategic plans related to election preparations. He also said that it was decided to give the main responsibility to the Chief District Officers to create an environment for the election in the meeting. He also said that it was decided to mobilize the security agencies more actively to return the prisoners who escaped from prisons during the movement.

He said, "In the previous meeting, we had formed a task force to present strategic plans related to election preparations. In today's meeting, we reviewed the work done by it. We have to mobilize the bodies under our control accordingly for the election. We will implement the strategic plans given by the task force through the Chief District Officer. The Chief District Officer's first priority will now be the election. We have decided about that. We will run a special program to bring back the weapons looted during the Gen-G movement. We will bring back the prisoners who escaped from various prisons in the country during the movement. We will also bring more programs for. We will also move forward with joint patrolling of security agencies to ensure peace and security to create an environment for the election.'

He also said that political parties should express a commitment not to misuse criminals in the society to create an environment for the election.
