It has been decided to hand over the annex building of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, head office in Babarmahal, to the Kathmandu District Court. The board of directors of the authority has decided to hand over the building by signing an agreement with the court, informed General Manager Pradeep Adhikari.

The decision of the board of directors meeting held on Asoj 30 was signed by Chairperson and Prime Minister Sushila Karki today. With this, the door has now been opened for negotiations and agreement with the court.

The decision reads, ‘During the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082, the Kathmandu District Court building was damaged, hindering the operation of the work.

In the context of the request made by the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to immediately provide the building to the Kathmandu District Court and facilitate the operation of the service, until further notice, the Block B building on the east side of the main building of the Authority at Babarmahal will be used to operate the services of the Kathmandu District Court by making necessary agreements between the two parties.’ The Kathmandu District Court and the main building of the Authority located next to it have been damaged due to arson.
