One person has been arrested on charges of violently chasing the police during the situation that arose after the protest on Bhadra 24. The arrested person is Gautam Ghising, a resident of Kathmandu-32 with a permanent residence in Dolakha.

According to an officer from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, he is also an absconding accused in a banking crime case. The group including him had chased the police officer of the Police Circle, Baneshwor. According to the police, a group had even snatched the policeman's weapon that day.

After being arrested during the investigation after watching the video of that day, the police have started an investigation against him for the crime of attempted murder and criminal mischief. The police have received permission from the court to keep Ghising in custody for at least 8 days for investigation.
