Vice-chairmen Yubaraj Gyawali and Ashtalakshmi Shakya have opposed UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli's proposal not to participate in the elections.
Speaking at the end of the Central Committee meeting, Oli had said that the election should not be held. Gyawali and Shakya then protested.
The Central Committee members suggested that preparations for the election should be made if the House of Representatives is not restored.
