UML has accused the government of trying to assassinate the character of the parties by conducting media trials. UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, while announcing the decision of the UML Central Committee meeting, said that the government, which has received the election mandate, is not working towards creating an environment for the election but is walking the path of prohibition without contacting and communicating with the parties.
Stating that the government is imposing restrictions on places, withholding passports, preventing peaceful demonstrations, and conducting media trials, he said that suspicious characters are also making threats.
Gautam also accused the government of giving complete immunity to those involved in violence and crime. He said that the party has concluded that there is no basis for going to the election in such a situation.
Gautam, while announcing the decision of the UML Central Committee meeting, said that it will move forward to create a public opinion in favor of the restoration of the parliament, and said that it will take it forward as a campaign. He said that the UML is not far from the elections, but the government has not created the environment for the elections.
He said that the Central Committee meeting passed 22 proposals. He reiterated that he had made seven suggestions to the Election Commission and that the government had not created the environment for the elections and had not communicated with the parties.
