Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that the upcoming elections are impossible without the police. He said that the police should also be made rich and powerful in terms of resources and morale while creating an environment for the elections.
Speaking at a tribute program organized to the immortal police on the occasion of the 70th Police Day on Friday, he said that the police have been providing security at the forefront in every incident of society.
That is why the police were attacked in the Gen-G movement and had to bear heavy losses, he said. 'The police have suffered a lot because they are on the front lines,' Minister Aryal said, 'Without the Nepal Police and their resources, even elections are impossible.'
He said that the government has thought seriously about this issue and will work to provide resources to the police. He also praised the role played by the police in the floods and landslides a few days ago along with the Gen-G demonstration.
He said that in these days, there is a need to make the police work technology-friendly.
