Election Commission begins discussions with political parties

Discussions with political parties have begun at the Election Commission. The commission has called the parties to discuss the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Discussions have been ongoing for some time now.

Nepali Congress Publicity Department Chief Min Bishwakarma, UML's Guru Baral, Maoist's Dev Prasad Gurung, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)'s Kabindra Burlakoti, and Unified Socialist Party's Rajendra Pandey are among the leaders participating in the meeting. 

The commission has called 29 political parties for discussions. According to the commission, political parties represented in the dissolved House of Representatives, provincial assemblies, and local levels have been called for discussions in the first phase. There are 124 political parties registered with the commission.

The commission has stated that 29 parties have been called in the first phase. The date for the upcoming House of Representatives election has been set for 21 Falgun. The commission is holding discussions with political parties for the first time in the context of election preparations.

Similarly, since elections will be held on 20 Magh for the vacant members of the National Assembly, the commission has also set an agenda for discussions on that.
