Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba attended the Central Working Committee meeting for the first time after the Gen-G movement.

During the demonstration after the Gen-G movement, on August 24th, the protestors attacked the Deuba couple. In that process, Deuba's throat and neck were seriously injured. Deuba, who was receiving medical treatment in the army barracks, was living in a rented house in Chundevi area just a few days ago. He has been public for the first time after a month and 5 days. 

After the Gen-G movement and demonstration, there is intense pressure to leave the party leadership . In the meantime, a group of other parties to the establishment have also signed for the special convention. According to central member Madhu Acharya, 52 percent of the convention delegates have already signed for leadership and policy change. In response to the question of what he will do with the signature, he said, "We have prepared to submit it after the chairman has given his opinion in today's meeting."
