After receiving information about irregularities in the procurement of DI pipes by the Melamchi water supply project, the authority raided the directorate on Tuesday evening and seized the documents.
The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has raided the Planning Implementation Directorate at Anamnagar under the Melamchi Water Project.
On Tuesday evening, the authority raided the directorate and took control of the documents after receiving information that the project had committed irregularities in the purchase of DI pipes.
According to the authorities, documents have been seized for investigation on the allegation of fraud in the purchase of DI pipes for drinking water in collusion between contractors and employees. The employee has been accused of embezzling DI pipes equal to 2 kilometers in length . With the control of the
document, the employees involved in the procurement process have been pulled into the scope of investigation.
