The youth leaders of the Congress have sent a letter to the chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and demanded to hold a regular convention by the end of November. They have demanded that the meeting of the Central Working Committee, which will start from Tuesday, should come up with a schedule ensuring the 15th Congress.

"Regarding the 15th convention of the Congress, a proper and regular convention is the only means of respectable participation of the young generation at all levels (from the ward to the center) . It is our conclusion that the only option that can legitimately advance the process of reorganization, generation and transformation of the party is a regular convention.'' The joint statement issued by youth leaders Ranjit Karna, Deepak Bhattarai, Saroj Thapa, Manhari Shrestha, Badri Aryal, Pushpa Kumar Shahi, Shiv Rimal, Bhupendrajung Shahi and others said, The working committee should be disbanded.'

They have also demanded the active participation of the party in the election announced for February 21 and the establishment of the official opinion of the party through political and agenda discussions regarding the restoration of the House of Representatives. They demand that the common opinion decided by the Congress should be communicated to the cadres and the people.

They have demanded the formation of a powerful commission to make the financial discipline of people who have reached various positions in the state, who are in positions of profit transparent, and to investigate the assets of people who are in leadership from the center to the local level after 046 years. They demand that in the future, in order to receive any responsibility within the party and when recommending for public positions, only those who have a 'chit' of transparency and a clean image should be candidates.
