Tourist trails that were damaged due to rains in the world's highest peak Everest region have been repaired and put into operation.  Jorasalle, Larcha Dobhan, Namche footpath sections have been put into operation after the construction of the footpaths blocked by landslides due to 3 days of rain last week.

After 3 days of rain from October 17 to 19, the road to the base camp damaged by the landslide has been repaired and put into operation, the rural municipality said. During the tourist season, the tourists used to reach the base camp using an alternative route after the rain damaged the footpath.

According to the rural municipality, tourists can now reach their destination through the regular route.  Due to the rains, 6 footpaths were destroyed by landslides in the Khumbu area. Among them, some footpaths have been repaired and put into operation, while other footpaths are also being repaired, said Lakshman Adhikari, chairman of ward number 4 of the rural municipality.

Tourism businessman Nirajan Sharma said that the tourists had to suffer due to the deterioration of the footpaths due to natural disasters during the tourist season. In the middle of autumn (autumn season), there is more tourist activity in the Khumbu region now.
