Arjun Prasad Koirala, Spokesman of the Supreme Court and City Registrar Arjun Prasad Koirala informed that this decision was taken by the full meeting held on Sunday. During the demonstration on August 24th, due to the damage caused by arson, stone pelting, vandalism and looting, all activities were suspended except for the registration and hearing of petitions and urgent petitions.

The Supreme Court was completely burnt down due to the demonstration on the 24th. The Supreme Court delayed the judicial process because the server was also burnt. For some time, the Supreme Court had started hearing the petition for the execution of the prisoners by putting up a tent even after burning the building. After searching all the burned files, the Supreme Court has prepared to start registering some petitions with writs.

For this reason, the Supreme Court held a discussion with stakeholders including the Nepal Bar Association and the Attorney General a few days ago. In the discussion, they suggested that the services should be operated. After the main building was burnt, the Supreme Court has prepared to start the hearing by forming 4 benches in the annex building. In some time, the Supreme Court is preparing to prepare a bench in the new building.

After this decision of the full meeting, now the way to register writs regarding the dissolution of the parliament, against the formation of the government and against other works of the government is open. In particular, UML is preparing to register a writ against the dissolution of parliament and the formation of Sushila Karki's government.
