Israel has said that Hamas will return the hostages on Monday morning. At a press conference held in Tel Aviv, Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Bedrossian said that all the hostages will be returned within a few hours.
"We hope that Hamas will hand over all the 20 hostages who are still alive to the International Red Cross Committee on Monday morning," she said at the press conference, "After crossing the border, they will be taken to the Reim military base in southern Israel." She added, "The bodies of the dead hostages will be placed in coffins covered with the Israeli flag and sent to the forensic institute for identification."
There are currently 48 hostages of Hamas. It is estimated that 20 people are alive and 26 are dead. The condition of Bipin Joshi and the Israeli citizen is unknown.
