When the protesters arrived at the Congress central office around 11 am, only the security guards Akash Tamang and Dhruv Sen were in the party office. The staff of the canteen located on the ground floor left 10 minutes ago. The fire set by the protesters was burning till 1 am.

'My life has passed in this office . Nothing could be done except to watch such a good building being destroyed by fire,' he says . According to him, protesters came not only once but four times. The previous group ransacked the remaining rooms and set everything on fire. The previous group set fire only around the entrance. After that, the group came in stages and set fire to each floor of the office. The other groups that came after the first group not only set fire, but also looted the good goods and equipment. According to Tamang, who is an eyewitness of the incident, the details of the incident happened from 11 am to night.

10:50 am –

Demonstrators arrive at the Congress central office. Gate number one (main entrance) and gate number two (entrance facing the corridor) of the compound . During the Zen-ji movement from Balkhu, the first group of protestors arrived near the gate of the office, about 50-100 people. They carried in their hands mineral water and substances made by filling glass bottles with petrol or other flammable chemicals .

There were 30-35 armed and district security personnel in the security of the office. Protesters shouted slogans and tried to break the cordon of the security personnel at gate number one. There was no one inside the office except two security guards. The canteen staff had left 10 minutes ago after eating. During that time, there was a scuffle between the police and the protesters. 

at 11:00 am – 

The protestors' first attack was on a motorcycle inside the compound . At that time, the number of protesters also increased. While throwing stones, one person threw a bottle like a petrol bomb on the motorcycle. The motorcycle burned. While burning, the fuel tank burst and the fire started burning. At that time, the police tried to disperse the crowd by firing some tear gas . However, the protestors continued to throw petrol bombs and stones. There was no order to shoot at the police. After failing, the police retreated from the gate and the protestors entered through gate number one. 

11:15-11:45 am-

After clashing with the police and entering the compound of the building, the first group took out the contents (chairs, tables, documents) and started vandalizing . The main door of number one was sprinkled with petrol and set on fire. Goods were brought from inside and thrown in the fire that was burning in the motorcycle outside. The fire was spreading to the door and the surrounding area . When the police could not control the situation, they left there in the two vehicles they came in. After that, the entire building was occupied by the protesters . Fire damaged the main door and entry area of ​​the ground floor . The first team did more vandalizing of pots outside the compound and inside. 

12:00-1:00 pm –

An hour after the first group of protesters left, two groups (two groups of 100/150 each) arrived . They broke gate number two (toward the corridor) and entered. Set fire to the security room. Doors and interior items (papers, furniture) were burned. A state-of-the-art digital auditorium was set on fire, which was completely gutted . Then hit the computer room, where the main documents were kept . Some computers were lifted and taken away, some with hard disks. Burn how much. The office of the disciplinary committee was vandalized. Only about 30 percent of the documents remain . The treasurer's office was completely destroyed. Joint Chief Ministers Bhishma Angdembe, Mahalakshmi Upadhyay 'Dina' and leader Shekhar Koirala's office was set on fire. Two employees in the building tried to extinguish the fire. But when they were about to fight, they kept watching the fire hiding on the roof of the nearby house. Vandalized Mahamantri Gagan Thapa's room but did not set it on fire. vandalized the room of former officials. 

2:00-3:30 pm –

Entry of the fourth group and arson on the upper floor Even after the three groups returned after arson and vandalism, another fourth group came to the Congress office and started setting fire to the remaining places . The upper part was not fully ignited . They entered the second, third and fourth floors and walked from room to room carrying beautiful furniture. Computers, printers, computer hard disks, coffee makers and jugs were looted. They stole expensive chairs, air conditioners, and sound systems on the third floor.

The election committee's room was gutted by fire, the ceiling above collapsed . Computers, printers, water dispensers and glasses were stolen from the publicity department on the fourth floor. The map of Nepal there was thrown with a baton. It couldn't burn . The fire had not reached the roof.  

4:30-5:30 pm –

By that time, the fire had not reached the library on the first floor. The group that came before that was not going to enter the library. The library was set on fire only around five o'clock. At first the fire was light but later it spread widely . Famous books and party records from all over the world were burnt to ashes.

5:30pm–1:00pm– 

Two employees in the central office and local residents tried to put out the fire. Although it came under some control, it could not be fully extinguished . The fire burned till 1 am. Most of the building was destroyed.
