District Court Kathmandu has ordered to collect more evidence in the writ against CPN-UML Politburo member Mahesh Basnet. This order was made by the court in a petition claiming that an arrest warrant should be issued against Basnet.
The court said to bring more evidence for the issuance of an arrest warrant against Basnet.
Judge Chandrakant Poudel's bench issued an order on Tuesday and ordered the submission of additional evidence, according to Information Officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha. According to judicial practice, the petitioner is ordered orally and the reader is also ordered.
After hearing the writ petition filed in the Kathmandu District Court, an order was issued to submit additional evidence on Tuesday. Shobha Pathak registered a writ against Basnet. She had submitted a writ petition demanding an investigation into the charges of abduction with coercion against Basnet.
The dispute between Pathak and Basnet was resolved earlier by reaching the high court through the district court. Pathak claimed that there was no investigation under the guise of state power and submitted a writ demanding the issuance of a new arrest warrant.
