President Gairi Bahadur Karki has said that there is no need to wait for the report of the investigative commission to investigate the incidents of murder, violence, arson, etc. during the Gen-G movement.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a statement on 9th of Asajj and said to take action only after the report of the investigation commission and to arrest immediately and other legal actions and not to arrest.

Probe President Karki said that the regular legal process will not hinder the investigation of the incidents involving usury laws that took place on August 23 and 24. "There is no need to wait for the report of the investigation commission to investigate and take action on the usury case, there is no obstacle to investigate the investigation in the regular process," said Karki with Kantipur, "It is not in the process of the investigation to stop the regular usury investigation of the taluk bodies."

On August 23 and 24, the government formed a three-member high-level inquiry commission under the chairmanship of Gauri Bahadur Karki, the former president of the special court, to investigate the suppression of the Gen-G movement and the destruction caused by the protesters.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a statement after the police started arresting those who killed policemen and arson and looting public property. "As the Commission has a mandate to receive and analyze information or petitions related to physical and human damage and to give necessary opinions regarding the action, after receiving a report with an opinion from the Commission in accordance with that mandate, the Government of Nepal will be informed of the action to be taken according to the law," said the statement of the House, "Therefore, no immediate action will be taken by the regular mechanism of the government on matters that are within the jurisdiction of the Commission, but everyone will be informed of the action that will be taken in accordance with the law on activities that are and will be illegal."
