Due to floods and landslides caused by incessant rains, highways and main roads connecting the capital Kathmandu have been blocked.
However, despite this risk, 2,648 passengers in 540 vehicles have entered Kathmandu in the last 24 hours. In 465 vehicles, 2,264 people have been evacuated.
According to the spokesman of the Valley Traffic Police Office, Superintendent of Police Nareshraj Subedi, more than three lakh people who left Kathmandu during Dasain are yet to enter Kathmandu. Now all roads entering Kathmandu are closed due to landslides and floods. The government has already banned the operation of long-distance vehicles entering/exiting Kathmandu from Saturday to Monday .
