Two seriously injured people were airlifted due to a landslide in Mangsebung Rural Municipality-1, Gajurmukhi.
The number of people who lost their lives due to landslides in Ilam has reached 28. 6 people were killed in Ilam Municipality-6 Ghos alone in the landslide on Saturday night.
Similarly, 2 people died in Deumai Municipality, 3 in Sandakpur Rural Municipality, 8 in Myjogmai Rural Municipality, 3 in Mangsebung Rural Municipality-1 Patigaon, 1 in Phakphokthum Rural Municipality-1 Ratmate and 5 in Suryodaya-1 Manebhanjyang.
The chief district officer of Ilam, Sunita Nepal, said that more than 12 people have gone missing in Ilam alone due to landslides in various places. According to him, the landslide has damaged dozens of houses.
Meanwhile, two seriously injured people have been airlifted due to a landslide in Mangsebung Rural Municipality-1, Gajurmukhi. Nepali Army Spokesman Rajaram Basnet said that a helicopter operating from Itahari base of the Nepali Army rescued a pregnant woman and a man. "The helicopter that brought seriously injured people could not land in Dharan and Biratnagar, then we landed in Itahari," he told Kantipur, "We are taking them to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan via land route from Itahari."
