The identity of those injured in the jeep accident in Kummayak-3 Kattike of Panchthar has been revealed. Six people lost their lives in the accident.

Balero No. 1 J 3055 fell 300 meters below the road on Saturday noon in Kummayak rural municipality 3 of Panchthar under Tamor Corridor.

Among those injured in the accident are 22-year-old Mahesh Limbu of Meringden-5, Taplejung, 25-year-old Manu Sanwa Limbu of Mikwakhola-4, 7-year-old Santosh Limbu of Taplejung Kalikhola, 35-year-old Mahesh Guragai of Sunsari Ithari-7, 25-year-old Vimal Limbu of Meringden-5, 29-year-old of Mikvakhola-4 Taplejung. Information Officer (Police Inspector) of District Police Office Panchthar informed that the identity of Sanjuhang Limbu has been revealed.

The police have not disclosed the names of the deceased as they are still in the process of identifying them. 

The jeep that left for Dharan from Mikwakhola Rural Municipality-4 Sawa in Taplejung met with an accident on Saturday afternoon at the Kattike section of Tamor Corridor located in Kummayak-3 of Panchthar. 

Six people who lost their lives in the accident have been brought to District Hospital Panchthar for autopsy.

Tamang said that the injured were sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment. Eyewitnesses said that most of the injured were injured in the head, back and hands and feet.

There were 12 passengers on the jeep including the driver and 6 of the deceased died on the spot.  According to the police, the cause of the accident is being investigated.
