Rain when Monsoon is active: Special alert for four days

As the Monsoon air is active, it has rained in various parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley since Thursday morning. The Department of Water and Meteorology has requested special vigilance for four days as many people travel during Dasain.

According to the department, the low pressure weather system developed in the Bay of Bengal entered the land from Odisha in India and gradually moved towards central India and due to the low pressure system, the monsoon air became active when the monsoon air entered Nepal. The

department especially in Kathmandu valley of Bagmati province, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Sankhuwasabha of Koshi province, Taplejung, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang Madhesh,  It is said that there is a high probability of sudden flow in small rivers flowing through Bara, Parsa, Sarlahi, Rautahat and nearby districts of the province. 

According to the current analysis, during this period the flow of water in the Narayani, Bagmati, Kamala, Koshi rivers and the tributaries of these rivers will increase significantly and may reach the danger level, according to meteorologists. There is a possibility of sudden inflow of water in the Mahabharata and small rivers of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Madhesh states.

In the present situation, the department has been monitoring the weather and the possible extreme situation of floods in the present situation, as the monsoon has not yet passed in Nepal.
