Jeep Safari has been reopened in Chitwan National Park.

The jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park, which was closed since last June 16 due to rain, has been reopened from today. Since the number of tourists visiting the park will increase after the rains, jeep safaris have been allowed to operate.

The practice of allowing entry into the forest only from places with security posts for park entry  is . According to the park, the safari has been opened after the rain is over and the tourists can cross the river inside the park in jeeps.

According to Avinash Thapa, Information Officer of Chitwan Park, 5 jeeps from Amaltari in East Nawalparasi, 2 from Kujauli post near Rajhar, 1 from Madi in Chitwan have been allowed to enter the park this year. Similarly, 32 jeeps from Sauraha and 16 jeeps from Kasara have been allowed to enter.

Tourists who enter the park by jeep can observe the forest, birds and wildlife. Chitwan Park extends to eastern Nawalparasi, Chitwan and Makwanpur. Although there is an arrangement for entry from various points in Chitwan and East Nawalparasi, there is no facility for tourist entry from Makwanpur.

Park entry fee is mandatory. According to Information Officer Thapa, every Nepalese tourist has to pay a fee of 150 rupees, tourists from SAARC countries have to pay 1,000 rupees and tourists from other countries have to pay a fee of 2,000 rupees. There is also a rule to pay a fee of 5,000 rupees for every jeep that is taken inside the park .

 

 

 

2 lakh 31 thousand 329 tourists entered Chitwan National Park last year, spread over an area of ​​952 square kilometers.
