Flowers from Kathmandu Hanumandho have been sent from Dasain house of Gorkha Palace. Phulpati was duly sent to Kathmandu to enter Hanuman Dhoka. Sharda Prasad Bhattarai, the chief priest of the Gorkha palace, informed that Phulpati was sent from Gorkha with joy along with the traditional instrument, the lavalaskar of the doli of Phulpati.

There is a tradition that when the flowers reach the Hanuman door of the Gorkha Darwar, the brightness of Dasain increases and Dasain has entered. To send flowers to Hanumandho, flowers were collected by worshiping the well invitation in Gorkha municipality-9 Pipley on the day of Shashti on Sunday  He said.

He said that the leaves collected from Ban areas such as Paslang, Rip, Amrai in Gorkha Nagar area have been sent to Kathmandu. It is customary to take some of the collected navapatras to the Gorkha Darwar and send them to Hanumandho.

Bhattarai said that it was the kings of the Shah dynasty who started the tradition of offering flowers to the deity of Hanumandhoka, which was offered to the clan deity of the ancient land. He said that after the victory of Kathmandu by Prithvi Narayan Shah, the practice of bringing Hanuman Dhoka flowers from the Gorkha Palace started.
