He says that first the police stationed in the field, then those who give orders and then those in the government will be called for statements.
The High Level Judicial Inquiry Commission said that while investigating the incidents that happened during the Gen-G movement, if found to be involved, the passports of such persons will be suspended and foreign travel will be banned.
Chairman of the commission, Gauri Bahadur Karki, said that such a decision would be made based on some preliminary evidence obtained and suspected to be involved in the incident. 'The commission that received the mandate of 3 months is prosecuting the case and recommending action against the guilty will do,' he said.
Saying that the reports of the previous investigation commissions, Mallik Commission and Rayamazhi Commission, were not implemented, he claimed that the current report will not remain secret and the culprits will also be punished. "When this commission was formed, I made two things clear with the government," Karki told Kantipur, "one, the report of this commission should be implemented and second, the report of the commission should not be kept secret." Karki made it clear that if the commission's report is kept secret, he will make it public.
He claimed that all the leaders in the government and those in power formation will be investigated. He said that first the police stationed in the field, then those who give orders and those in the government will be called for statements. In this way, he claimed that the commission will not interfere with any bias during the investigation.
'There will be no planned investigation against anyone. No one is left out of the investigation,'' said Karki.
Karki said that there will be problems in the investigation due to the lack of skilled manpower with the commission.
The commission that set up an office in the Department of Water and Meteorology has already started work. He claims that he will not favor or discriminate anyone on any basis, and will not give immunity to anyone to bring him under the scope of investigation.
