Ishwarraj Poudel has become the new Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kathmandu. Poudel, who is working in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, was transferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs and given the responsibility of CDO of Kathmandu.

Home Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle informed that Paudel has been appointed as the new CDO of Kathmandu. Poudel had previously also worked as a member of the investigation committee of the 33 kg gold case.

The previous CDO Chabilal Rizal has been called back by the Ministry of Home Affairs . Rizal, who was criticized for using excessive force in the Gen-ji uprising on August 23, has been transferred.
