Information and Communication Minister Jagdish Kharel has said that the arson and vandalism in Kantipur is an attack on the entire communication world. He said this while inspecting the office of Kantipur in Tinkune, which was damaged by vandalism and arson during the demonstration on August 24.
Saying that he is sorry for the damage caused to Kantipur Publications, Minister Kharel said that he will try his best to bring those involved in the vandalism and arson to justice through a fair investigation.
Realizing the sensitivity of the loss of life and property across the country, he said that an inquiry commission has been formed at the initiative of the Prime Minister and that the perpetrators of vandalism and arson will be investigated.
Stating that the first priority of the interim government is the election, he also said that they are ready to hold the election on the specified date.
