After super typhoon 'Ragasa' approaches Hong Kong, Nepal Airlines Corporation has revised the Kathmandu-Hong Kong-Kathmandu flight schedule.
According to the information released by the corporation, flight RA-409 (Kathmandu-Hong Kong) which was supposed to depart at 11 am, has departed at 8 am according to the new schedule.

department, the storm is expected to prevail till Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. It is said that there is a possibility of bringing strong winds up to at least 62 km per hour and a significant rise in sea level.
The department has warned that the water level will rise by 2 to 5 meters in the coastal area. According to the international media Reuters, the Hong Kong International Airport is said to be closed for 36 hours as the typhoon approaches.
It is estimated that a large number of flights will be affected. Many international flights have been canceled or postponed since Tuesday afternoon. Likewise, it is predicted that the storm will have a wide impact on sea and air traffic in Hong Kong and South China.
Hong Kong has warned that public transport, schools and commercial activities will be suspended until Tuesday night. The corporation has requested the passengers of the Hong Kong-Kathmandu sector to get updated information about their flights through the corporation's official website and social media pages. The corporation has been flying in this sector on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
