The Narayangadh-Muglin road has been blocked since three (Friday evening) due to a landslide in the Tuin River near Muglin. As the main road connecting the capital Kathmandu with the East-West Mahendra Highway is blocked, commuters going home on the eve of Dasain are stopped on their way. The District Traffic Office said that 11,500 vehicles were stuck on the roads due to landslides.

Hundreds of passengers have been inconvenienced. The heavy landslide that fell there was only cleared by half during the day yesterday . Even though the landslide has been cleared from Sunday morning, it is not certain whether the road will be opened today. Thousands of vehicles have been jammed on the road for three days.

As the vehicles are stopped in a busy manner on the road and not according to the lane, it seems unlikely that the traffic will be eased immediately even if the landslide opens. The Divisional Road Office of Bharatpur has appealed to adopt alternative routes at such a time .

The Division Road Office has given an option for westbound small and large vehicles coming from Kathmandu to Muglin to go to their destination via Prithviraj Highway via Pokhara. If not  Kaligandaki Corridor via Bhimad has also been asked to be used.

It will be easy for the vehicles coming to Kathmandu from the east to use the Naubise-Daman-Hetaunda road . The Division Road Office has also given an option to take Prithviraj Marg from Gaindakot near Narayangadh in Kaligandki Corridor via Dedgaon, Bhimad and exit to Muglin.

There is no place that can be repeated on foot through a landslide. There is also an option to cross the river from Muglin to Tanahun and take the Narayangadh-Muglin road through the suspension bridge by walking, motorcycle or small vehicle on the parallel road that has just started to be dug. Rushing commuters are making their way through this unpaved road to Muglin Ohr .

The rural hilly road that goes up from the Dhadpang Hugdi river near Majhimtar on the Prithviraj highway and passes through Dhading's Jogimara, Kot, Banspur to Shaktikhor in Chitwan can be used by motorcycles and small four-wheeled vehicles .

This road can also be passed through Mauwakhola of Prithvirajmarg . Tika Gurung, a local hotel owner of Mayatar, a village on the other side of the road, said that vans and motorbikes used to travel through this road. This road from Banspur to Shaktikhor is also tarred.
