Gauri Bahadur Karki, chairman of the high-level judicial inquiry commission formed by the government to investigate the incident of the agitation led by Gen-G on 23rd and 24th of Bhadra and the subsequent demonstration, has said that the investigation will be carried out impartially.

Talking to Kantipur after the cabinet meeting decided to form a 3-member commission on Sunday, he said that the culprits will be identified and action will be recommended.

'After receiving the mandate from the government, it will be clear how to work. Being a judicial commission, we work in an impartial manner,' he said, 'Who has committed what mistakes? Punishment will be determined accordingly.'

Karki said that the commission will proceed according to the mandate set by the government. Ex-AIG Vigyanraj Sharma and legal expert Visheshwar Prasad Bhandari are members of the commission formed under the Commission of Inquiry Act chaired by the former chairman of the special court and ex-judge Karki. The commission has been given 3 months time to investigate and submit the report.
