President Deuba, issuing a statement on the occasion of the Constitution Day on Friday, paid tribute to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the constitution making and democratic movement. He said that the constitution is a document obtained as an achievement of the historical revolution, struggle and people's movement for the establishment and restoration of democracy in the country.
President Deuba recalled that the Constitution was passed by the Constituent Assembly on October 3, 2072 by the elected representatives of the people under the leadership of the Congress, and claimed that this Constitution has embraced the universal principles of democracy, human rights and social justice.
He said that everyone's rights and rights have been ensured. Every citizen should feel that he is free and equal, commemorating this historic day, which has completed a decade since the promulgation of the Constitution, with pride.
