The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Vishwa Adhikari to the Police Headquarters and transferred it to SSP Ramesh Thapa.

The SSP officer was involved in the controversy in the incident of using excessive force in the Genji demonstration. 

Before that, the premises were accused of being negligent in the security strategy. After this, Home Minister Omprakash Aryal on Thursday, by a ministerial decision, pulled the officer to the headquarters and sent the premises to Thapa of the Inspector General's Secretariat.
