The southern section of the East-West highway has been blocked due to mud after rain. The road has been blocked since Monday night near the Vishwakarma temple in Downe.
According to Sunil Khanal, a local resident, the road near the Vishwakarma temple, which is about 4 km west of Dumkibas, is muddy, and the traffic jam has reached Dumkibas and the forest.
The police have informed that the technicians of the road department have been deployed in the work of placing and fixing gravel to open the highway.
