The Central Blood Transfusion Service has now appealed to the general public not to panic and donate blood as more blood has been collected than required.

When more blood is collected than needed, there is a risk of it being wasted without being used.

After the movement of Gen-G, many people were injured and 19 people died, and the wave of donating blood has increased because of lack of blood. On Monday, we provided 400 pints of blood to hospitals. Today the demand is not much . We are ready for the demand situation," said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, senior technical officer of the service.

He said that there is a high pressure that blood has to be collected. He requested to exercise restraint as blood should not be drawn for three months after giving blood once and in the meantime there would be any emergency and festivals like Dashain Tihar.

This request was made by the service after the increase in blood collection in chowk and the increase in blood collection from different districts and sending it to the airport.
