Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary has resigned from the post. Within the Congress Dr. Chaudhary, who was a minister in Shekhar Koirala's quota, has resigned from the post.
Koirala instructed Minister Chaudhary to resign from the post after 19 people were killed in the Genji movement by the government.
Earlier this morning, Agriculture Minister Ram Nath Adhikari resigned. On Tuesday morning, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba called a meeting of the Central Performance Committee at his residence Budhanilkanth. But as the leaders could not attend, it was postponed. Chief Ministers Gagan Thapa and Vishwa Prakash Sharma, who came for the meeting, suggested that they should leave the government. But Deuba is not in the mood to leave the government.
