Supporting the justified demand raised by Genji, Pun also demanded the immediate removal of the ban on social media. He said that the ban on social media is unacceptable as it stifles the freedom of expression.
Stating that peaceful demonstration is the constitutional right of the people, Pun demanded an independent and judicial inquiry into the excessive use of force and oppression on the protesting youth. There is also an appeal to the agitating Genji not to vandalize and set fire to public or private property.
