Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's home area, Damak, has been opened fire by the police. According to eyewitnesses, the police opened fire because the demonstration of Gen-Ji became violent.

This morning at 11 am, the Gen-G demonstration, which started from Akashe Bridge in Damak, reached the Damak Municipal Office. During the demonstration, the police lathi-charged. Jhapa Police spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka said that the situation in front of Damak Municipality has become tense.
He informed that there was a report of vandalism being attempted in the city premises and he was on his way to the scene. He said that efforts are being made to understand more about the shooting at Damak.
Jhapa's Virtamod and Damak Genji performances are going on at the moment. Jen-G raised slogans against Prime Minister Oli in the Prime Minister's home area.
