The Department of Foreign Employment has said that the process of sending workers to South Korea through E-7 visa has not started. The department said that the attention has been drawn to the fact that the money was being collected illegally by advertising that they would be sent to South Korea through the E-7 visa.

"It is informed that the department has not officially started pre-approval process for sending E-7 visa to any organization so far," the statement issued by the department said on Tuesday, "It has been informed that no application for demand letter verification has been received from the Nepalese Embassy in Korea."

Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security released the Procedures for Sending Skilled Workers to Korea-2080, the department said, is at the stage of implementation. According to the Nepali Embassy in Korea, the recruitment process of workers will start only after the employer comes to verify the demand letter. However, so far the employer company has not submitted a demand letter to take skilled manpower from Nepal.

Only unskilled workers are taken from the Employer's Permit System (EPS). According to the Labor Ministry, the government has opened the way to send skilled workers with the involvement of the private sector after not taking skilled workers from EPS.
