Another 37 Nepalis have been expelled from America. All 37 people deported by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are going to be returned to Nepal on Wednesday (September 3) by charter plane. Director General of Immigration Department Ramchandra Tiwari said that they were informed that they would be brought by a charter plane on Wednesday afternoon.

They have been informed that the US will bring them to Nepal in the afternoon by the flight number N828 AX.

Since Donald Trump started his second term as US president, 215 Nepalis have been 'deported' so far with the implementation of the plan to deport immigrants who do not have official documents and are accused of being involved in 'criminal' activities. According to the Tribhuvan International Airport immigration records, 197 men and 18 women have been brought to Kathmandu from America so far.

So far, out of those who have been 'deported' and returned to Nepal, 37 more people are from 28 districts. According to the airport immigration office, 37 more people were deported by charter flight and the rest were deported by regular flight. According to the information provided by the United States to the Nepalese government, the deportees will arrive in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Immigration Department, so far the people sent to Nepal from America are Dang, West Rukum, East Rukum, Salyan, Myagdi, Parbat, Banke, Rolpa, Baglung, Sindhupalchok, Kathmandu, Jajarkot, Dolakha, Kaski, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Gorkha, Jumla, Jhapa, Doti, Dolpa, Dhankuta, Parsa, Makwanpur, Mustang, Morang, They belong to Sindhuli and Sunsari. Dang, West Rukum and East Rukum are the most.

Most of those who come through 'deportation' have entered the US through the lower route (illegal route) after paying money to organized gangs, according to the police. They reached America through lower routes through gangs active in different countries.

As soon as American President Trump started his second term from January 20, 2025, after adopting a policy of deporting illegal immigrants from various countries, including Nepal, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement started arresting undocumented immigrants. During that time, the Trump administration has 'deported' 45 Nepalis in America twice by charter plane and the rest by regular flight, and is going to return another 37 people by charter plane.

Previously, the United States had assigned 8 people, seven men and one woman, on February 21, 2081, and again on June 24, 32 men and five women by charter plane to Nepal to Tribhuvan International Airport for immigration. Last time, 37 people were repatriated on a chartered flight of Omni Air International call-sign N-486 AX.

Since Trump assumed the office of president for the second term, 6 Nepalis have been deported from America in January, 18 in February, 32 in March, 26 in April, 58 in May, 42 in June, 17 in July and 16 in August.

Those on the deportation list were given the option to return to Nepal 'by regular flight', but those who accepted it came by regular flight and those who were found guilty of 'serious crimes' were sent back by charter plane after looking at their 'criminal background'. Earlier, 140 Nepalis were deported from America from 2021 to 2024. According to the Immigration Department, 38 people were deported in 2021, 24 in 2022, 25 in 2023 and 53 in 2024.

Organized gangs extort up to 1 crore rupees from those who enter America through the low road (donkey route) and are guaranteed to enter the US even after receiving the money. However, those who paid the money to the gang do not seem to want to divulge the details. After assuming the office of the President for the second term, Trump has started a campaign to return those who entered the US illegally and stayed in violation of immigration laws by arresting them through ice. 

The United States has mobilized security personnel to take control of 1.445 thousand 549 people who have reached the United States from countries including Nepal and are included in the deportation list. Among them, most of those who entered the US from Mexico, El Salvador, India, Guatemala, Honduras, and Venezuela are on the list of "deportees".

After the arrival of the Trump administration, Ice has received the final order for 'deportation' until November 24, 2024, but has recently arrested and detained those who have not been arrested and started a return campaign to the respective country. In the first phase, undocumented immigrants who entered the US after June 24, 2015 and have been ordered to leave the US are being deported.
